I grew up across the street from Bernie, and spent all our school years in the same class. Our childhood memories of the Patch are many happy days both in summer and winter. My most vivid memory is of the months Bernie spent fighting polio in an iron lung. He was a courageous survivor. I have thought of him often along with all the extended family that grew up with us in that special little neighborhood. My heartfelt condolences to the family. He was a great gury!

My sister Erma sent me the obituary of Bernie.
It brought back memories of our days in the Patch when we were boys and friends.
We lost touch but i have often thought about him as he was back in the 40s and 50s.
My sincere condolences to all his family.

I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in God's word the Bible. Revelation 21:3, 4.
