Turners Falls- Peter Ivan Wilson, 81, of Norman Circle passed peacefully on Sunday 6/18/17 at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield. He was born in Dayton, OH on July 10, 1935, the son of Ivan and Marion (Ross) Wilson.  Peter attended Browns Nicholas Prep School in Cambridge and was a graduate of Wilbraham Monson Academy. 

Peter served in the United States Army and stationed in Hawaii during the Korean War.

On July 19, 1958, Pete married Gillian Beare in Wilbraham, Ma.

He was a manager and supervisor at the New England Telephone Company for thirty one years, retiring in 1989.   Peter was also a bus driver for the town of Turners Falls.

He loved to ride motorcycles and fly planes.  He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. 

Besides his beloved wife of 58 years, Gillian, Pete leaves a son, Steven and his wife Kimberly of East Longmeadow; a daughter, Lisa M. Fiore and her husband Richard of Westfield, a brother, David L. Wilson and his wife Teresa of Southwick,  four grandsons, Jackson Fiore, Kyle Wilson, David Wilson, and Michael Pyrek; two granddaughters, Julia Fiore-Brown  and Katherine Pyrek.

Funeral services will be private.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
