Christina M. Nardacci

Greenfield- Christina M. (Cominoli) Nardacci, 94, of The Arbors died Wednesday 2/8/17 at home surrounded by family.  She was born in Greenfield on April 15, 1922, the daughter of R. Andrew and Maria (Rieff) Cominoli.  Christina attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1940.  She continued her education at the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.  

She married George Nardacci on May 22, 1948 and lived in Providence RI before returning to Greenfield in 1951.

Christina was a Registered Nurse at the Farren Hospital, Franklin Medical Center and the Franklin Nursing Home where she retired in 1984 as a nursing supervisor.

She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. Christina enjoyed reading, travelling, crosswords and puzzles.  She was a member of the Board of Organized Work at Franklin Medical Center. After retirement Tina and George enjoyed spending winters in Florida.  But her greatest pleasure came from spending time with family.

Among her survivors, Christina leaves three sons, George A. and his wife Martha of Lancaster, PA, John F. of Midlothian, VA, and Nicholas M. of Barrington, RI; three daughters, Mary E. Hobson and her husband Richard of Dunedin, FL, Teresa A. Varner and her husband John of Greenfield and Patricia L. Siano and her husband Daniel of Montague; nine grandchildren, Carla, Alicia, Jennifer, Bethany, Kelly, Patrick, Maria, Nicole and Nicholas; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Christina was predeceased by her husband of 67 years George on May 17, 2015.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 2/14 at 9:15am from the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Timothy Campoli officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield. 

Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
