Ursula J. Kersavage

Ursula J. Kersavage, 99, passed away peacefully on 7/17/21 under the loving care of the staff at The Woodlands Nursing Center in Plainfield, N.J.

Ursula Kersavage was born in Wendell, MA on November 16, 1921 and was raised in Erving, MA where she lived for 83 years prior to her relocation to New Jersey.  Daughter of the late Adam and Ursula (Alekevicius) Kersavage, she was also predeceased by four brothers, Edward, John, Joseph, and Francis Kersavage; five sisters, Marjorie Lashenski, Mary Lavley, Frances Lougee, Catherine McGarry, and Eleanor Kersavage.   Among her survivors, Ursula leaves three nephews, Gregory McGarry, Roger Lougee and Gary Lougee; and two nieces Teresa MacDonald and Donna Drescher; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

After graduation from Orange H.S., Ursula was a toolmaker for 44 years at L.S. Starrett Co. in Athol until her retirement.

Ursula enjoyed gardening, travel, and most of all time spent with family and friends.  She made sure that her large extended family was always received at the Kersavage homestead with a warm smile and plenty of good cheer whether on holidays, vacations, or ad hoc visits.  She was a blessing to the entire family.

A liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 7/24 at 10am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh Street, Turners Falls. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Turners Falls.

A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 8:45-9:45am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.
