Thomas L. Sanborn, 77, of Old Long Road, passed away Saturday February 15, 2025, at Elaine Center at Hadley. He was born in Greenfield on August 15, 1947, the son of Lowell and Lena (Degrano) Sanborn. Thomas attended local schools and graduated from Frontier High School. He also had a bachelor’s degree and graduated from Greenfield Community College in business and marketing.

He was a US Army veteran having served in Vietnam. Thomas enjoyed bird watching, reading the Bible, shopping, listening to music, hanging out with friends and family. Besides being an avid gardener, he was a mentor to many.

He was a member of the Maple Ridge Church in Sunderland.

He leaves his son CJ Valdez of Leverett and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Carol Zewinski.

Services will be held Wednesday February 26, 2025, at 11 AM at Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Sq., Turners Falls. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery North Maple St. Florence, MA 01062. 

A calling hour will be from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM.
