Thomas A. Kolakoski, 70, of N. Hillside Road died peacefully on May 8, 2024, at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Greenfield on June 26, 1954, the son of Edward and Sylivia (Greenbush) Kolakoski. Tom attended local schools in Deerfield and was a graduate of Frontier Regional High School class of 1973.
Tom worked for the railroad for many years until his retirement. He was a life member of the Polish Club is South Deerfield. He was also a member of The Moose Club and the American Legion. He was a hard worker who enjoyed gardening and mowing his lawn.
Among his survivors, Tom leaves his fiancé, Cindy Phillips of Greenfield; and he was known as Grandpa Thomas to eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He also leaves several cousins.
Tom was predeceased by his brothers, Larry and Jimmy Kolakoski and his parents Sylvia and Edward Kolakoski.
A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date and time once established.
