The heartbroken family of Steven shares the news of his passing.
Steven Michael Knapp was born in Greenfield on May 8, 1982, the son of Georgia Moore and his predeceased father Joseph Knapp.
Steven had a gifted mind for anything using his head and hands and there wasn't a project he couldn't conquer. He graduated from the Franklin County Technical School in 2000 where he received many awards to include the Carpentry Student of the Year. Working with Scott and Judy Watson at a young age gave him the foundation for a strong work ethic. Each career opportunity helped him develop further skills and expertise, bringing him to Penfield Construction, Clayton Davenport Trucking and Keiter Builders before starting his own business.
He is survived by his mother Georgia and stepfather Tom Moore, siblings Jodi of York, Maine and Brian (Shanin) of Newport News, Virginia and their children Tyler (Kayla), Cameron and Kinsey. Also, many relatives on his father's side who reside in New York. He was married to Jennifer (Brooks) who has lost her best friend. Steven leaves behind many friends who will miss him as much as we will.
The family invites you to join them at the Millers Falls Rod & Gun Club at 210 Turners Falls Road in Montague on Saturday, September 23 between 2 and 5 pm as we gather to honor his life.
