Steven M. Chase, 73, of Colrain Road passed away Monday April 28, 2025, at home. He was born in Haverhill NH on August 29, 1951, the son of Robert and Noreen (Stimson) Chase. Steve grew up in Woodsville NH attending local school there and graduated from Woodsville High School Class of 1969. 
Steve was a local Minister from 1984 till present. His passion was to preach God’s Word. He was the Pastor of Forgiven Heart Fellowship in Greenfield. He would always offer words of wisdom and encouragement to others and was an advocate for those down and out. Steve was very active in his community having helped with youth in transition, being a foster parent, offering Bible Study for those incarcerated and having a daily   religious radio show at the local radio station. He also had been a DYS Parole Officer in Orange, MA for a period of time.
Steve leaves his wife Marietjie (De Klerk) Chase of 38 years and his children; Christina Kennedy of CA., Stephanie Chase of Fl., Tyler and Kate Chase of Newfane, VT., Hannah Chase of Bernardston, Joshua Chase of Greenfield, Sarah Chase of Amherst, Jonathan and Katelyn Chase of Erving and Josiah Chase of Amherst. Steve also leaves his grandchildren; Alaina, Michael, Taylor, Maya, Riley, Olivia, Jane and Victoria along with his siblings; Bonnie Hanson of N. Haverhill, Sally Chase DeWitt of FL, Peter Chase of VT., Julie Ellingwood of Littleton, NH., Barbara Chase of Colrain, And Donna Chase of Maine and several nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Besides his parents Steve was predeceased by his brother Robert.
Services will held Saturday May 10, 2025, at 11 AM at Living Waters Assembly of God, 450 Davis St. Greenfield, MA. Burial will follow in Green River Cemetery. 
Calling hours will be held Friday May 9, 2025, from 4-6 PM at Kostanski Funeral Home 220 Federal St. Greenfield, MA.
