Sophie H. (Klepacki) Fritz, 97, of Captain Beers Plain Road, passed away Saturday (10-7-23) at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Montague, April 21, 1926, the daughter of Paul and Anastasia (Ostroski) Klepacki.
Sophie leaves her daughters; Geraldine Ahearn and her husband Richard of Greenfield, Elizabeth Fritz
and Mary Ellen Devito, both of Northfield; a sister, Helen Becker of New Haven, Connecticut; her
grandchildren, William (Amber) Ahearn and Bernadette Devito; her great grandchildren: Michael, Robert and Lylah Ahearn; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Sophie was predeceased by her husband Martin Fritz and her son in-law Joseph
Devito.
Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023 at 9:15 AM from the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls followed by A Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 84 K Street Turners Falls. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
