Phillip L. Ramsdell, Sr.

Phillip Leroy Ramsdell Sr., beloved husband, father and grandfather, affectionately known as “Cowboy” and “Mr. Brown”, died on April 14, 2023, at the age of 78. Born on April 4th, 1945, in Bar Harbor, Maine to Thereon and Pauline Ramsdell, he grew up by the ocean, enjoying the view, fishing and freshly caught seafood.
Phillip graduated from Westbrook High School in Connecticut. In his working days, he was a truck driver, machinist, operator with a love for automotive repair. In his younger years, he was a racing and airplane enthusiast. Phillip was one of the original co-founders of Ace Cab and RR&S, both of which were in Greenfield, MA which served all of Massachusetts and surrounding states for over 10 years.
He enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved animals and had many pets over the years.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Irene, two sons, Phillip Jr. and his wife Brooke, Michael and his partner Sasha. His grandchildren include Michael Jr., Maddox, Avery, Alyvia and Ari. He is also survived by his sister Pat and stepson Raymond Tuthill Jr.  
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 6, 2023, at 12 Noon, at the Kostanski Funeral Home 220 Federal St. Greenfield.
