Mary Ellen (Flavin) Marshall

Mary Ellen (Flavin) Marshall, 71, of Washington Street died Wednesday March 8th, 2023 at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where she was surrounded by loved ones.  She was born on September 25, 1951, the daughter of James Flavin and Marion (DeNofrio) Krejmas.  Mary attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1969. 
Mary was a receptionist for the Fuel Assistance Program in Greenfield. She was a dedicated mother, wife, and grandmother and always brought a smile to everyone’s face. Amongst many of her hobbies; she enjoyed bingo, reading, writing pen pals, and visiting the casino with friends and family. She was passionate about food and loved dining out.
Among her survivors, Mary leaves her husband of 33 years, Steven Marshall; three daughters, Heather Marshall, Sarah Marshall and son in law Tim Lovett, and Amber Marshall and son in law Dan Hamburg, all of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Kaydence and C.J. Ryznic, Theodore Gary Lovett, and Gavin, Aubrey and Owen Marshall-Hamberg; and a sister, Nancy Krejmas of Gill. 
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Flavin. She was very loved and will be missed terribly.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 3/15 at 11am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield. 
Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 9am until the time of the service at the funeral home. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
