Mark “Breezy” A. Brzezinski, 70, of Mill Street passed away Monday 3/31/25 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. He was born in Greenfield on January 23,1955 and was the son of Edward and Joyce (Lyna) Brzezinski.  

Mark was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1973. After high school, Mark worked for the Greenfield Tap & Die (Kennametal), where he was a machinist and a longtime mentor and leader in his union (UE Local 274). Upon retirement, many of his work colleagues were eager to celebrate him due to his supportive nature and loyal mentorship to many. 

He loved being a dad, uncle, and friend. Mark would drop everything to help out with any situation or even to just do a silly song and dance to make you laugh. He was a big kid at heart and his great nieces and nephews loved that about him. It was not uncommon to see Mark engaged in a water fight or a lot of silliness at any family function. But ultimately, he was a dad to his core. He devoted his life to being a provider and a good dad. Even though he worked most days, he still found time for memorable vacations, coaching softball, and lots of adventures with his daughter Kaylee. While he only had one daughter, he felt like a dad to many others. 

He was always up to something fun like having coffee with his best buddies, kayaking down the Connecticut River, cleaning up his pristine yard, cooking delicious meals, or bopping around town on his motorized bike. He had a lot of pride in where he grew up and his country.

Mark made a huge positive impact on people and his community. He was an advocate for addiction recovery and supported many on their road to sobriety. He was wise and was always willing to listen and share his unique perspectives. Many people will miss spotting him driving around town because he was always providing rides to those in need. He often was filling the cups of others rather than his own, he really gave all he had to the service of others.

Among his survivors, Mark leaves his daughter, Kaylee Brzezinski of Greenfield; four sisters, Sandra Ruggeri (Peter) of Greenfield, Cynthia Brzezinski of Lempster, NH, Lori Miner (Rick) of Buckland and Lynn Hallowell (Rick) of Greenfield; a brother, Michael Brzezinski (Paula) of Millers Falls; several nieces and nephews; and his grand dog, Mamba.

Mark was predeceased by two sisters, Terri Dyer and Susan Anderson. 

Calling hours will be held Friday 4/11 from 4-7pm at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield. A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date for family and friends.
