Margaret M. Mullins, 86, of Water Street died Tuesday 3/3/26 at the Greenfield Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Laurinburg, NC on July 29, 1939, the daughter of Harry and Mary Rex.
Margaret worked at Clarke School for the Deaf for over 30 years, starting as the switch board operator and then serving for many years as the administrative assistant to the head of the school. She volunteered and organized the annual ski program for the students and staff. She cared deeply for the students and found great joy in her time at Clark School.
Margaret was a world traveler starting at a young age. Settling in western Massachusetts, she was a member of the Brittney Hunting Dog Club, receiving several honors with her beloved dog Sandy. She was also part owner of a Cessna aircraft and found great joy in the sky. Margaret was also an avid knitter and donated many blankets to those in need. She was always in search of the newest gadget and enjoyed the art of shopping. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and passing along her knowledge of knitting.
Among her survivors, Maragret leaves a son, Michael Mullins; a daughter, Catherine Mullins; two granddaughters, Caitlin Mullins Pittard and Hannah Mullins Macon; and a great granddaughter Delilah Catherine Pittard.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care, 101 Munson St., Suite 103, Greenfield, MA 01301.
