Lorraine Beauregard Obituary

Lorraine M. Thompson Beauregard, 92, of Collis Lane, Colrain passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 8, 1930 in Keene, NH to the late Rupert and Mildred Thompson, she attended Marlborough, NH schools.  She married the late William Beauregard on June 29, 1951.  They celebrated over sixty years of marriage prior to his passing in 2012.

Lorraine was a “ stay at home” Mom while raising their four active children.  She and Bill owned and operated Beauregards Orchard in Colrain where she was the “ Chief Apple Sorter”.  She supported her husband’s GHS teaching and basketball coaching years by attending and video-taping each and every game, both home and away, for many years.  Lorraine was also a dedicated election poll worker in Colrain.

Lorraine and Bill, along with their children and expansive family, spent summers at their beloved lakefront camp on Stone Pond in Dublin, NH.  It was there that Lorraine shared many good times with her childhood friend Doris Wilcox of Marlborough, NH.  In their retirement years Lorraine and Bill made memories traveling frequently to Las Vegas and Florida.

Lorraine loved her family and was fondly known as “Memere” to her seven grandsons and five great grandchildren.  She leaves her two sons- William and his wife Tamara of Greenfield, and Michael and his wife Doni of Colrain.  She also leaves her son in law Barry Lapean and his partner Lorraine Dlugosz of Colrain.  Two of her children predeceased her- son Robert in 1977 and daughter Diana Lapean in 2013.

Lorraine leaves her seven grandsons to cherish her memory- Joshua Beauregard, his wife Emily Rothschild and their sons Otto and Simon; Chad Beauregard, his wife Jaclyn and their daughters Ava and Paige; Cody Beauregard and his wife Lara; Kyle Beauregard; Timothy Lapean and his wife Missy; Jameson Lapean, his wife Kaitlyn and daughter Remi; and Benjamin Lapean and his wife Kate.

Lorraine leaves her sister Rena Peters of Orange, MA and Florida along with many loving nieces and nephews from both the Beauregard and Thompson families.  Her brother Rupert Thompson predeceased her.

A special Thank You to her caregivers: Lisa, Khylar, Marie and Deb.  Their kindness and comfort to Lorraine is very much appreciated by her family. The family of Lorraine would like to acknowledge and thank Pioneer Valley Hospice.

A calling hour will be held 10-11 am on Friday, January 27, followed by a service at 11am at Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal St., Greenfield, MA.  Burial will be in the Spring at the family cemetery in Marlborough, NH.
