Lorna A. (August) Newman

Lorna A. (August) Newman, 82, passed away Wednesday January 18,2023 at the Center for Extended Care in Amherst. She was born in Hartford CT  February 29, 1940 the daughter of John and Eileen (Coffin) August. 

Lorna attended Greenfield Schools. She was a legal secretary for Doherty, Wallace, Pillsbury and Murphy in Springfield for over 20 years. She enjoyed being at the barn, riding horses and traveling.

She leaves her husband of 42 years Donald Newman, her children Sharon Williams, Thomas Kurtyka and John Kurtyka all of Montague, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 4, 2023 at 12 Noon at Kostanski Funeral Home 1 Kostanski Square Turners Falls.

A calling hour will from 11 AM until service time.
