Lassandra McLaughlin-Padua Obituary

On the tragic morning of Friday May 7th, 2021, Lassandra J. McLaughlin-Padua (21 years old) passed on to a better place. The depth of her impact on the world in her short time here envied the depths of even the deepest oceans. She is survived by many friends and family members who will love and miss her dearly every day. Her mother Sarah M. McLaughlin; her father Benjamin Padua; her older brother Ben Padua; her youngest brother Adrian River Lara; her grandmother Teresa H. McLaughlin; her great grandmother Helen Kaczenski; her cousin(more like her kid sister) Sophie May McNeil; her Titi(aunt) Mariah Elizabeth McLaughlin; her uncle Steve McNeil; and so many more beloved family and friends. She will be reunited with her grandfather William G. McLaughlin; her great grandfather Stanley T. Kaczenski; and her oldest brother Christopher Doust, on the other side.
Lassandra was beautifully multifaceted in her personality and talents. She was an extremely gifted and talented artist. Whether it was painting, drawing, collaging, mixed media, or poetry- She was fantastic at all of it. Creativity was a part of her soul. She was also highly intelligent, spiritual, and had an ethereal connection with the simplicity, beauty, and peace of the natural world. She was so free-spirited, adventurous, and had so much empathy for others. Her heart and soul were like the first beams of warm sunshine embracing your skin for the first time after a long winter. She was absolute warmth. It was so hard to be unhappy in her presence. That’s because her goofy, loving personality and extremely contagious laugh could make anyone feel happy and loved. She loved helping others and was very passionate about making the world a kinder and better place to live in, not only for herself and her loved ones but for everyone. Music was also very important to her. She loved all genres of music and enjoyed going to concerts and dancing with her friends. She wanted to intertwine her creativity and compassion for others to one day become an art therapist. She also wanted to travel the world and immerse herself into the glory of different cultures, people, and experiences. Along with her being creative, smart, loving, adventurous, warm (and so many other things) she was very hard working and responsible. Determined to save her money, pay her bills, and not miss work to create a more comfortable future for herself and her people. But most of all, she was undeniably and without a doubt the most caring and devoted sister, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, niece and friend any of us have ever had. So it goes without saying that she was always there for the people she loved.
Lassandra lived such a meaningful life. She was the most beautiful, talented, passionate, and loving soul and anyone who was blessed enough to know her knows that the world is now a less beautiful place without her in it. She will be deeply missed by so many, and kept alive in the hearts and memories of all who loved her. This world was lucky to have her here, even for a short time.
