Kenneth J. Parent

Kenneth J. Parent, 70, left his journey in this life for his place in heaven with God on May 24, 2022.  He was born in Greenfield, MA on August 25, 1951, the son of the late Leo and Mary Parent of Erving, MA.  
Ken worked as a machinist at both Rodney Hunt in Orange and Bete Fog Nozzle in Greenfield.  He loved music, sports (especially the Green Bay Packers), reading and being with his family.  He loved all people and leaves many friends who appreciated his quiet, gentle spirit and warm sense of humor. 
Survivors include his beloved wife and friend of forty five years, Debra Parent; their three children, Timothy Parent (Marlene), Lydia Skerritt (Trevor) and Merri Parent (Alex); two precious grandsons, Matthew and Andrew; three brothers, Leo Parent (Susan) of Erving, Richard Parent of Athol and John Parent (Kim) of Virginia; a sister, Anna Ward (David) of Florida; his father in law, Charles Grant of Connecticut; Daniel and Chrissy Grant of New Hampshire; Richard and Lori Gamache of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews. 
Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by a brother, James Parent. 
Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. 
There will be no calling hours. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept.142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
