Kelly S. Morrissey

Kelly S. Morrissey, 56, of Elm Street, Shelburne Falls died unexpectedly Tuesday 1/11/22 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. She was born in Greenfield on February 16, 1965, the daughter of Richard J. and Carol F. (Finnie) Morrissey. Kelly attended Greenfield Public Schools and graduated cum laude from Wells College in Aurora, NY with a BA in German Language and Literature.

Most recently, Kelly was employed at Andy’s and The Oak Shoppe in Greenfield.

Kelly enjoyed cooking, baking, bird watching, reading, and photography. Kelly was an avid (and competitive) player of Words with Friends and was a huge fan of Jeopardy! She loved to travel and was happiest spending time at the beach, particularly Cape Cod.

Among her survivors, Kelly leaves two brothers, Shawn Morrissey and his wife Kym of Indian Hills, CO, and Kevin Morrissey and his wife Barbara of Leominster, MA; two sisters, Anne Taylor of Nashua, NH, and Beth Morrissey and her partner Alan Rosenberg of Dunstable, MA; two nephews, William Morrissey and his wife Jamie of Leominster, MA, and Christopher Morrissey and his wife Meghan of Leominster, MA; and great nieces Elise and Kendall Morrissey and great nephew Liam Morrissey. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many close friends.

Kelly was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Carol.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 13, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at The Parish Hall at The Episcopal Church of Saints James and Andrew, 8 Church St, Greenfield, MA 01301. 
 Please join us as we celebrate and remember Kelly, who touched the lives of so many. We hope that guests will bring their stories and memories of Kelly and feel free to share them at the gathering. Refreshments will be provided.
