Judy A. Gagnon, 68, of Briar Way died Saturday 1/8/22 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. She was born in Greenfield on March 2, 1953, the daughter of Lee and Bernadette (Suprenant) Gagnon. She attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1971. She continued her education at Southeastern Massachusetts University, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She then received her Master’s degree in Organizational Development from the University of Massachusetts.
Judy held various positions at the University of Massachusetts over a nearly forty-year career, including Student Activities, Veterans Affairs, and advisor to the UMass Theater Guild.
Among her survivors, Judy leaves her sister, Janet Perry and Janet’s husband Jim of Pennsylvania, and nephews Michael Perry and Mark Perry. Beside her parents, Judy was predeceased by her sister, Dolores “Dolly” Gagnon and her brother, Raymond A. Gagnon.
Special people in Judy’s life included Frank Evans of Florence, MA; Kathy (Murray) Cannon of Walden, NY; Carol Dion of Turners Falls, and countless friends, relatives and neighbors who helped her before and during her illness.
A Mass will be held at the family’s convenience.
