Judith Ann (Clarke) McCarthy, 82, of Albert Ave died Monday 5/13/24 at home.  She was born in Greenfield on January 23, 1942, the daughter of Franklin and Florence (Demers) Clarke.  Judie attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1960.
Judie was a homemaker.  In the 1960’s she was employed at the telephone company and in the mid 1980’s she was co-manager of the After-Hours Teen Center.
In the 1970’s and 1980’s, Judie was an avid bowler, achieving Women’s Massachusetts Bowler of the Year for the seasons of 78-79 and 79-80.
Judie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, David F. McCarthy, Retired Greenfield Police Chief; three sons, Daniel McCarthy and his wife Monica and Timothy McCarthy, all of Greenfield, and Shawn McCarthy and his wife Jean of Crestview, Florida; four grandchildren, Cassandra McCarthy of Greenfield, Matthew McCarthy and his fiancée Jenny Smith of Holliston, MA, Taylor Stickle and her husband Justice of Bonaire, Georgia and Ryan McCarthy of Crestview, Florida; three great grandchildren, Joseph McCarthy and Michael McCarthy of Greenfield and Elanor Stickle of Bonaire, Georgia.
Judie was predeceased by her parents, Franklin and Florence, and her brother, F. Peter Clarke. 
A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday 5/29/24 at 10AM at Blessed Trinity Parish, Blessed Sacrament Church, 221 Federal Street, Greenfield.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield. 
Calling hours will be held Tuesday evening (5/28) from 4-6pm at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield.
