Joseph “Joey” Butynski, 40, of Greenfield died unexpectedly Tuesday 7/25/23 at home.  He was born in Greenfield on October 25, 1982, the son of Donald Butynski, Sr. and Andrea Goldman.  Joey attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School. 

Joey worked for many years as a server at various restaurants in the area.

He enjoyed interior design.

Among his survivors, Joey leaves his parents, Donald J. Butynski and Andrea Goldman-Butynski; his brother, Donald Butynski II, who became his best friend later in life; three sisters, Rebecca Josey, Jennifer Ahearn and Sarah Ahern; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joey was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Helen Butynski; his maternal grandmother, Edna Watson; and his partner, Aaron Robinson.

A memorial service will be held Thursday 8/10 at 11am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 9am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
