John F. Vasquez, 78, passed away Monday 1/12/26 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. He was born in Manhattan, NY on April 16, 1947, the son of Juan and Juanita (Martinez) Vasquez.
John was a college graduate.
He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam, serving two tours.
John worked for Mass Central Railroad, retiring after thirty-seven years.
Among his survivors, John leaves his beloved wife of nineteen years and thirty-four year together, Sandra (Roldan) Vasquez, John leaves his children, Michael, Jimmy and John Vasquez; Carlos Anadon; Vanessa Gomez, Luis Gomez; Isis Anadon; Aisha Ferliberty and David Belows; a sister, Bernadette; a brother, Alex Vasquez and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1/21 at 12noon at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield. Burial will be held at 2pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Winchendon, MA.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
