John H. Mayrand

John H. Mayrand, 76, of West Main St. died Wednesday (6-16-21) at home. He was born in Greenfield June 13, 1945 the son of Wilfred and Celia (Purple) Mayrand. He attended Gill Schools and graduated from Turners Falls High School the class of 1963.

John was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Works from November 1969 retiring March of 2002.

He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran.

John leaves his wife of 53 years the former Carol Miner, his sons; Peter Mayrand of Leicester, NC, Paul Mayrand of Lebanon, CT, Marc Mayrand of Shenandoah Junction, WV and his siblings; Russell Mayrand of Pensacola, FL and Cheryl Dyer of Hinsdale, NH. John also leaves five grandsons; Zach, Aavry, Nicholas, Noah and Nathan and his four granddaughters; Addisun, Sophia, Ava and Sydney along with several nieces and nephews and all his friends at the Millers Pub.

Services will be private.
