Joanne Lammerts, 91, of Wilbraham, MA, formerly of Ransomville, NY, passed away on July 11, 2026. Born on April 21, 1935 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter Thomas and the late Dorothy (Chambers) Thomas.

On December 30, 1967, she married Roy E.G. Lammerts. He predeceased her in June 2020.

Joanne was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and Ransomville, NY, moving to Massachusetts in 2021. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School, class of 1953.

Joanne was a stay at home mom and later in life worked as a seamstress. She was a cat lover, and enjoyed puzzles, sewing, coloring and bowling. When her sons were young, she was a Cub Scout leader and that is where she met her lifelong best friend, Mary Wilkinson. Joanne was known for her smile and for putting others before herself.

Joanne is survived by a daughter Kerri Sher; sons, Scott Leveille, Neil Leveille, Noel "Bud" Leveille, Steven Lammerts and Robert Lammerts; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Mary-Elizabeth Calderon. She was predeceased by daughters Rene Boyle and Diana Cassick; brother John (Jack) Thomas and sister Susan Razza.

A graveside service for Roy and Joanne Lammerts will take place on Friday September 18, 2026, at 11AM at Acacia Park Cemetery.  Attendees should gather at the main cemetery entrance office located at 4215 Tonawanda Creek Rd., North Tonawanda, NY.  A luncheon will immediately follow at the Pendleton Creek Pub 4385 Tonawanda Creek Rd., North Tonawanda, NY.
