We are brokenhearted to announce the unimaginable, sudden yet peaceful passing of Jay-Michael R. Russell (or Hobbit as his friends loved to call him) 29, of Deep River, CT has left this world on Tuesday 8-1-23 to join his family and friends on the other side.
Born in Greenfield July 19th, 1994 the son of Frederick Russell Jr. And Sarah Rogers (Lester) Jay - Michael worked as a Med Certified Healthcare coordinator at Riverview lodge, always a favorite among the residents.
Jay had a heart and spirit as big as the universe and an amazing sarcastic sense of humor that could lighten any mood. He was the type of friend that would sit and listen to any problem and give the most heartfelt advice. Family was Jay's most important aspect; especially his daughter Nevaeh, son Asher and adopted daughter Aliviah whom he loved with every piece of himself. Jay was a family man who loved to cook and create new recipes from the experience he gained at culinary school, camp out, fish by the river and looking for arrowheads with his uncle.
Jay-Michael's Legacy will be lived on forever by his father Frederick R. Russell Jr of Deep River, CT; Mother Sarah Rogers (Lester) of Montague, MA. His cherished children Nevaeh Russell; Adopted daughter Aliviah Huthes of New Britain, CT; Son Asher Russell of Alabama; Sister and best friend Amelia Russell (brother in law Joseph H. Potts) of Turners Falls, MA; Sisters Rachel Russell of Deep River, CT and Marissa Mignacco of New Britain, CT; Brother Tyler Lester- perky of Montague, MA. Five nieces and nephews that Jay affectionately doted on; Airabella Whipple, Jordan Potts, Dahlia Potts, of Turners Falls, Ma; Nicholas Trigilio, and Kaydin Trigilio of Deep River, CT; Cousins as close as brothers D.J. MacDonald of Deep River, CT; Broden Wells of Haddam, CT; among many other aunts, uncles and cousins whom Jay adored and an astronomical adopted family.
