Jason R. Cooper, 39, of Heather Court, died Monday, August 4, 2025, at home. He was born in Greenfield on August 18, 1985, the son of Barbara (Mazor) Cooper and Mark Cooper.
Jason attended Frontier Regional High School until the 11th grade and later earned his GED.
He loved his family and closest friends and was known for having a heart of gold. Jason lived life on his own terms and never judged another soul. Since childhood, he enjoyed reading the works of Stephen King, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Edgar Allan Poe. He was an avid gamer, with favorites including Final Fantasy, Elden Ring, and Red Dead Redemption, among many others. Jason’s unique and contagious sense of humor, along with his quick wit, endeared him to everyone he met. He also had a lifelong passion for writing his own manuscripts and sketching original characters to accompany his stories.
Among his survivors, Jason leaves his mother, Barbara Cooper; his daughter, Vera Cooper; Jacey Coy, to whom Jason was like a father; his sister, Marcie Cooper, who adored him, and her son, Cameron; two sisters in Florida, Audrey Cooper and her two daughters Charlotte and Sylvie , and Erin Cooper; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jason’s kindness, laughter, and creative spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
