Janice C. Weeden, age 90, of Bernardston, MA passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2023.
Jancie is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Ophelia Rigali; her sister, Vera Kenney and her husband, Edward Weeden.
Janice, lovingly known as Nana, loved and enjoyed many things. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, quilting, lighthouses- with Nubble Lighthouse in York, ME being her favorite. She especially loved cooking for her family and having family dinners. Janice loved her family fiercely and was proud of all their accomplishments. She would always have a big smile on her face when talking about them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Janice was the best at sending cards. She had one for every occasion and never forgot a birthday.
Janice leaves behind her three children, Paul Weeden and his partner Patricia Matlack-Burgin of Bernardston, Gail Weeden of Essex Junction, VT and Barbara Kaminsky and her husband Paul of Cincinnati, OH; her sister, Shirley Osgood of Winter Park, FL; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and others she considered as her grandchildren. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, a God daughter, as well as many, many friends.
Calling hours will be held Saturday October 21st from 9-11am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield followed by a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield. Please join the family for a celebration of life following the graveside service at the United Church of Bernardston, 58 Church Street, Bernardston.
