Janice J. (Kells) Richotte

Janice J. Richotte, 81, of Turners Falls Rd. passed away Monday October 30, 2023 at home. She was born in Montague October 10, 1942, the daughter of John and Jennie (Darash) Kells. Jan attended local schools and graduated from Greenfield High School Class of 1960.
She was a machinist for Bendix and Besley Products for many years. She later moved to Illinois to continue her career with Ecolab in the shipping department.
Janice was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed reading, audio books, tag sales, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.
Janice leaves her children; Brian (Katrina) Richotte of Erving, Todd Richotte (Jenlyn O’Neil) of Montague and Lisa Richotte of Cambodia. Her grandchildren; Kyle (Issa) Bascom of Spokane, WA, Krista (John) Parker of Winchester, NH, Patricia (Jason) Slaughter of Rogers, AR, Brittney (Paul) Sweeney of Watha, NC, Matthew Richotte of Erving, Nick Lapan (Ashley Williams) of Heath and Bree Richotte (Andy Henault) of Northbridge, MA, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Janice also leaves her sisters; Joanne (Richard) Harris and Jeanne (Henry) Nietsche all of Deerfield. 
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her siblings; John Kells, Jerry Kells and Judith Cronin and her life partner of over 30 years Richard Bugbee.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 4, 2023 at 10 AM at Kostanski Funeral Home 1 Kostanski Square in Turners Falls. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield. 
Calling hours will be Friday November 3, 2023 from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
