Janice E. Pydych

Janice Pydych, 73, of Lower Westfield Road died Monday 5/16/22 at the Holyoke Medical Center.  She was born in Greenfield on September 3, 1948, the daughter of Charles and Helen (McGrath) Pydych.  She was a graduate of Frontier Regional High School Class of 1966.  Janice continued her education, graduating from Greenfield Community College. 
Janice was a secretary at Daniel O’Connell’s Construction until her retirement. 
She was a resident of Northampton for over twenty years.  Janice was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Northampton for many years, a volunteer for the Northampton YMCA for ten years, and s certified peer volunteer for amputees.  Janice enjoyed polka music and dancing. 
Among her survivors, Janice leaves two brothers, Charles “Nick” Pydych and his wife Irene of Turners Falls and Frank “Hank” Pydych and his wife Judy of West Deerfield; and several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 5/25 at 9:15am from the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh Street, Turners Falls.  Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Greenfield.
