Jamie L. Covey

On August 22, 2023, after much contemplation, Jamie decided to take his own life.
Jamie was born May 22, 1977. He was the son of late Debra (Metelica) Covey and Michael Covey. 
He grew up in Greenfield, MA where he attended Greenfield public schools. He worked a variety of jobs, most recently as an independent landscaper. He had a strong work ethic, and showed pride in the work he did. 
He will be remembered for his selflessness and his heart of gold. Jamie would give anything to see the ones he loved smile. His love for his family and his friends was unconditional. He enjoyed golfing and was a devoted fan of the UConn Huskies.  
Jamie leaves behind his father, Michael Covey and his partner Diane Carme of South Deerfield MA; brothers Eric Covey and his fiancé Heather Poulin of Deerfield MA, and Joseph Patterson and his fiancé Brianna Scoggins of Leominster MA; sisters Kelly Covey of Greenfield MA, and Samantha Patterson of North Adams MA; nieces Carissa Covey, Emma Covey, Layla Seymour; a nephew Ian Paulin; Auntie C and Uncle Denny Booska; cousins Dennis Booska (Jodi Booska), Tina Booska-Dempsey (John Dempsey); many friends, and lifelong family friend Maggie Duprey. He was predeceased by his mother, Debra Covey; infant brother, "Little Mikey"; stepmother of 19 years, Donna Covey; and an uncle, Robert Covey. 
Services will be Friday September 1, 2023, from 4-6 pm at Kostanski Funeral home in Greenfield MA. 
A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after at Terrazza's 244 Country Club Rd. Greenfield, MA 01301.
