James "Jack" F. Millar Obituary
James “Jack” F. Millar, 74, of Amherst Road died unexpectedly Friday 4/26/24 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. He was born in Northampton on January 6, 1950, the son of James and Jean (Dickinson) Millar.
He was raised in Amherst and graduated class of 1968 from Amherst Regional High School.
Jack was a well- known dry wall and sheet rocker for many years.
He was an avid gardener and look forward to helping his son in the field every asparagus season. He also enjoyed saltwater and freshwater fishing and deer hunting. Some of his fondest memories were of going to Allagash, Maine with his dogs to hunt partridge.
Among his survivors, Jack leaves a son, Jimmy Millar of Millers Falls; a daughter, Jacqueline Millar of South Deerfield; two sisters, Judy Hemmingway and Jant Land; and a brother, Jerry Millar.
Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by his brother, Jeffery Millar.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
