James Wayne Tetreault, 88, passed away on February 20, 2021 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield with his wife and son by his side. The son of William and Katherine (Potter) Tetreault, Sr., James attended local schools in Greenfield.
James served in the United States Air Force, stationed in France.
On November 11, 1961, James married Lillian Chagnon at St. Anne's Church in Turners Falls.
He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church
James, along with his brother William Tetreault, Jr., were well known for forty-seven years as the Tetreault Brothers Painting and Wallpaper business. James took great pride in his work.
He loved country music and loved to dance. He enjoyed bowling and playing on a softball team with his brother William. James enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots games and golf.
He leaves his wife, Lillian Tetreault, and his son, Kevin Tetreault, both of Bernardston; his brother, William Tetreault, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, William and Katherine, James was predeceased by a brother, Marc J. Tetreault.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the doctors and nurses for the care and support they showed James and the family.
A Memorial Mass will be held FRIDAY MARCH 5th at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 221 Federal Street, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield.
There will be no calling hours.
