Italia (Bove) Bompastore, 95, of Lillian Street died Tuesday 3/18/25 at home.  She was born in Avezzano, Italy on March 2, 1930, the daughter of Saverio and Camilla (LoRusso) Bove.
Italia married Nicholas Bompastore and was a loving mother to her three children.  Nicholas predeceased Italia on February 1, 1985.
Italia enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking Italian food.  She liked playing cards, being with her friends traveling and taking walks.
Italia was active at Blessed Trinity Parish, as a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Rosary Society, and many other activities in the church.
Among her survivors, Italia leaves two sons, Anthony and Paul Bompastore; a daughter, Rita Coxhead and son in law John Coxhead; two brothers, Guido and Benito Bove, sister in laws Giuseppina, Maria Teresa, Lucia Bove of Avezzano, Italy; grandsons, Nicholas, Andrew, Mathew and Stephen Bompastore and Chris Wilkins and his wife Maria Wilkins; granddaughters, Teresa Bompastore and Gabriella Wilkins; great grandsons, Luke Bompastore and Eli Wilkins; a great granddaughter, Adalyn Bompastore; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her beloved husband of thirty-three years, Nicholas, Italia was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Maria DeRossi and Olympia Cipriani; brothers, Vincenzo, Armondo and Sergio Bove; daughter in law Joan Bompastore, nephews, Claudio and Carlos DeRossi and Michael Bompastore; sisters in law, Mary Bompastore, Mary Yarmac, Dina Bove; and brothers in law, Gelio Bompastore and Raymond Yarmac.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday 3/24 at 11am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 221 Federal Street, Greenfield.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield.
Calling hours will be held Monday morning from 9-10:30am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield.
