Harold H. Roberts, 77, of the Mohawk Trail died Monday 12/25/23 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. He was born in Montague on January 13, 1946in Montague Ma, the son of William F. and Agnes I. (Mercier) Roberts.
Harold graduated from Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls, Ma.
He was enlisted in the United States Navy from 1964-1968 serving in the Vietnam War.
Harold took over the operations of The Indian Plaza Gift Shop/Intertribal Native American Powwow Grounds in Charlemont from his parents in 1983. Harold enjoyed hosting Native American Powwows and socials. Along with watching football. His favorite team was the New York Giants.
Among his survivors, Harold leaves his grandchildren, Jessica Brooks and her husband Michael of Montague, Emily Tubbs and Christopher Tubbs; a step daughter, Melinda Loud and her husband Brian Matheny of East Hartford, CT; a son, Billy Herzig; a brother, John Roberts and his Wife Deb of Greenfield; three nieces, Alexandra, Danielle and Stephanie Roberts; a nephew, Josh Roberts; his dear friends, Janet and David Truesdell of Shelburne Falls, and Andrea Butynski of Greenfield.
Harold was predeceased by his wife Carole (Laflam) Roberts on April 21, 2005, and two brothers, George, and Kenneth Roberts.
A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday 1/13/24 at 10am at the Riverside Cemetery Gill, Ma.
