Harold K. Burt III, 72, of East Prospect St. died Friday February 7, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Springfield, MA the son of Harold K. Jr. and Ruth (Phelps) Burt.  
He attended local schools until he enlisted into the US Navy to start his career having served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. and the USS Enterprise. Harold received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and two Good Conduct Awards.
 Harold enjoyed woodworking, collecting tools, military memorabilia including collecting model military planes and ships. He also was an advocate for Veterans.
Harold leaves his wife Andrea, a son Kyle Collins and his wife Holly Godfroy, daughter; Samantha Curtis and her partner Ben Stevens and grandson Kai Mayo. Harold also leaves his brother Henry Burt and his wife Connie Richardson, brother Lou Burt, and sisters, Shiela Thurston and Hazel Morse and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
