Glenn E. Payette, 73, of Hayes Ave died Thursday 2/1/24 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.  He was born in Attleboro, MA on March 2, 1950, the son of Calvin and Belverly (Brown) Payette.  Glenn attended local schools in Attleboro was a graduate of Attleboro High School. 
Glenn served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. 
He was a mechanic for the GMTA for many years. 
Glenn was an avid motorcycle rider and an animal lover.  
Among his survivors, Glenn leaves three brothers, Wayne Payette, who cared for Glenn for many years, and Steven Payette of Maine and Jason Payette of Greenfield; three sisters, Diane LaFond of Conway, Donna James of Colrain and Amy Shrock of Kansas; a nephew, Justin Payette of Greenfield; several other nieces and nephews, and his cat, Bessie. 
Besides his parents, Glenn was predeceased by a brother, Kevin Payette, a son, Christopher Payette and a niece Michelle. 
Calling hours will be held Tuesday 2/13 from 4-6pm at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield.  
There will be no formal funeral services.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
