Gerald E. Poirier, Jr., 73, of Greenfield died Monday 6/2/25 at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born in Greenfield on August 31, 1951, the son of Gerald E. Poirier, Sr. and Marie (Berthiaume) Davidson. Gerald attended local schools and was a graduate of Pioneer Valley Regional High School. 
Gerald was a custom cabinet and furniture craftsman and had a passion for woodworking.  
He enjoyed morning breakfast at Denny’s with his breakfast crew, going to casinos, deep sea fishing, muscle cars, and spending time with his beloved dog Sadie.
Among his survivors, Gerald leaves his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Ann Marie (Kozloski) Poirier; a daughter, Jennifer Poirier Castro; a son, Keith Poirier; a granddaughter, Megan Castro; two sisters, Donna Monette, Debra Miskinis and husband David Miskinis.
Gerald was predeceased by his parents; his stepfather; and his brothers, Paul, Joel and Wayne Poirier. 
 A celebration of life for Gerald will be held at Smitty’s Pub, 26 Chapman Street, Greenfield. MA, Saturday June 14th from 1 pm - 5 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Regional Dog Shelter, 10 Sandy Lane, Turners Falls, MA 01376.
