Gail “Jakie” (Jacob) Pearce of Montague, MA, passed away peacefully March 22nd at her daughter's home after a short battle with cancer.
Gail was born in Greenfield, MA, September 30, 1948, the daughter of Frank Jacob and Helen (Burnett) Peterson. She attended local schools and graduated from Turners Falls High School class of 1966.
Over the course of her career, Gail was employed at Kimball Laundry, Hallmark Color Labs, and The Rendezvous, before retiring from Valley Medical.
Gail will be remembered for her personality. Always a warm smile and a kind heart. Her lively spirit and sense of fun made her unforgettable to those who knew her. She loved the beach, the sun, the water, and the peace it brought her, mostly at Wells Beach, Maine, which was a yearly must.
Gail is survived by her daughter Kristin Pearce, mother Helen Peterson, sisters Sharon Hale, Nancy Goodwin and her husband Ray and brother Jim Peterson and his wife Sue. She also leaves her loved nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her grand dog Sadie Jane who was a big light in her life and helped comfort her through her illness. She also leaves behind many close friends that really touched her life.
Gail was predeceased by her father Frank Jacob, stepfather Roy Peterson, brother Peter Jacob, brother-in-law Richard Hale, and ex-husband Ronald Pearce.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday 3/28/26 from 10am-12pm at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Sq., Turners Falls, MA.  
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
