Frances Rose (Miner) Greuling departed this life on May 6, 2020, of complications from Covid-19. She was born October 8, 1928, the fourth of twelve children, to Arthur Joseph Miner and Lillian (Foster) Miner of Turners Falls. She attended local schools, and after graduating, married Louis Henry Greuling on September 21, 1947.
While raising her four children, she worked for Millers Falls Tool Company and in later years was cafeteria manager at Erving Elementary School. She attended St. John's Church in Millers Falls.
Fran enjoyed music and loved to play the piano and sing. She also enjoyed crafts. When her daughters were little, she sewed many of their dresses. In later years she found time to braid quite a number of rugs while also knitting and doing crewel embroidery. She and Louis also spent many happy years puttering around at their camp in Warwick.
She and Louis enjoyed 54 years of marriage until his death in 2001. She is survived by her children: Shirley Pelletier of Conway, Rose Burnett of North Carolina, Louis Greuling, Jr. of Monson, and Greg Greuling of Turners Falls.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kostanski Funeral Home. For condolences, please visit www.kostanskifuneralhome.com.
