Elizabeth L. (Vollinger) Gibowicz

Elizabeth L. (Vollinger) Gibowicz, 88, passed away Monday April 3, 2023, at Regal Care Center (formerly Buckley Health Care). She was born in Northampton August 20, 1934, the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Moakler) Vollinger. 
Betty attended Northampton schools and graduated from Northampton High School. She had been a waitress at Bill’s Restaurant for many, many years. 
Previously she had worked at May’s Drive-In in Northampton. Betty married John Gibowicz July 18, 1984. Sadly, he passed away April 24, 2018, after 34 years of marriage. She was a lifelong member of the Moose Club of Greenfield.
Betty leaves her daughter Patricia Doolittle and her significant other Ronald Pelc of Bernardston and several nieces and nephews including Robert and Tess Gibowicz who were her caregivers, three grandchildren; Jennifer Doolittle, Sarah Skuse and her husband Steve, Brian Doolittle and his significant other Amanda Olney; six great grandchildren; Emma McDonough, Hailey Doolittle, Theodore Skuse, Steve Skuse Jr., Henry Skuse and Hope Skuse.
Besides her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by her daughter Debra Connors.
A funeral service for Betty will be held Wednesday April 12, 2023, at 11 AM at Kostanski Funeral Home 220 Federal St, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. 
A calling hour will be held from 10 AM until service time.
