Elizabeth C. Fay, 92, a lifelong resident of Greenfield, died Monday, April 28th at Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility. She was born in South Deerfield, MA on August 5, 1932, the daughter of Stanley and Anne (Discawicz) Chesk.  Elizabeth attended local schools, graduating from Greenfield High and then continuing her education at Becker Junior College in Worcester, which then led to a medical assistant career.  Later on, she supported her husband's (David O. Fay) business as a bookkeeping assistant until his death in 2001.

Elizabeth loved spending time with friends, neighbors and family alike. She was always up for a new adventure, trying new restaurants, going to the YMCA, tending to her summer flowers, was a voracious reader and animal enthusiast. Through the years she rescued multiple felines that were doted on as her 4-legged children. Thanks to her loving, compassionate nature - the felines lived many contented years in the comfort of her home.

Among her survivors, Elizabeth leaves two children, David J. Fay of San Carlos, CA and Lorri Fay of Boulder, CO;  Daughter in Law, Cynthia Fay of San Carlos, CA; Grandchildren Jenny, Chris and Nick; and great granddaughter Lila.

A Mass in her remembrance will be held at 11 AM Saturday, May 3rd at Holy Trinity Church in Greenfield. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
