John H. Stevens, Jr., 69, of Main Road died Monday 4/22/24 at home.  He was born in Greenfield on December 9, 1954, one of nine children of John H. and Evelyn (Bassett) Stevens.  John worked as a papermaker at the Esleeck Paper Mill for many years.  Before his retirement, he was employed at the Pelican Company. Mark A. Matusz, 65, of Willmark Ave died Tuesday 4/16/24 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 26, 1958, the son of Thomas and Shirley (Sopellec) Matusz. He attended local schools in Montague and was a graduate of Turners Falls High School, Class of 1976. Mark was a carrier for the United States Postal Service in Turners Falls for thirty-four years before his retirement. Mary Lou (Johnson) Barton, 74, of Leyden MA, took the Lord's hand on April 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at home.  She was born in Brattleboro, VT on September 7, 1949, to Ruth (Dunklee) and Glenn Johnson.       Mary Lou grew up having fun on the Dunklee Farm in Vernon, Vermont.  She enjoyed feeding the calves, milking the cows, and playing in the haylofts with her siblings.  Mary Lou married her husband, Elwin Barton, on May 7, 1971....

Sandra J. Niedzwiedz, 69, of Goodell Place passed away unexpectantly at home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was born in Greenfield on May 3, 1954, the daughter of Bernard and Gertrude (LaMountain) Waryas. Sandi attended Turners Falls High School and Mahar Regional High School, graduating from Mahar Regional High School in the class of 1972. Eileen Mae (Conway) Frederick, 100, of Millers Falls, MA was welcomed home by the lord on April 9, 2024. She was born in Turners Falls, MA on February 24, 1924 to Beatrice (LaPierre) and Joseph Conway. Eileen married her husband, Harold (Hank) Frederick in 1943.
