Erving- Edward “Chicky” F. Rodovich, 67, of North Street died Monday 7/2/18 at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton. He was born in Montague on March 25, 1951, the son of Walter and Doris (McKane) Rodovich.
Chicky was stationed in Germany where he served in the United States Army as a Mechanical Engineer.
He was a self employed handyman. In his earlier years, he was employed at Oxford Pickle Company.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and landscaping. He was particularly skilled in stonework building an elaborate stonewall surrounding a previous home in Lake Pleasant, Mass.
Among his survivors, Chicky leaves his daughter, Tanya Dwyer and her husband John of Erving; his grandson, Jacob of Erving; a brother, Walter “Chubby” Rodovich of Montague; a sister, Dorothy Therien of Davie, Florida; a niece, Theresa Therien of Turners Falls and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and many endeared life long friends.
Besides his parents, Chicky was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Warner.
A funeral service will be held Friday 7/6 at 10am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
A calling hour will be held Friday morning from 9am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
