Edward P. Schiebler Jr., 82, of Montague died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield. He was born in West Boylston, MA on October 6, 1938, the son of Edward and Mary (White) Schiebler Sr. He was educated at Hillside School in Marlboro and St. Andrews in Barrington, R.I., completing his education at Greenfield Community College with an associates in mathematics.
He was a Vietnam veteran, retiring in 1982 after a 22 year career as a pilot in the United States Army. He was employed by Clarkdale Fruit Farms for over 30 years.
In his free time he was an avid salt water fisherman and enjoyed gardening and horticulture.
Among his survivors, Edward leaves his wife Joann Reipold Schiebler of Montague; two sons, Edward Schiebler III of Athol and Jeffrey Schiebler of El Cerrito, CA; two step children, Pamela Reipold and Terri Reipold, both of Turners Falls; three grandchildren, Joseph Williams, Shelbea Williams and Trevor Berman; three great grandchildren, Caiden Williams, Aubrey Berman and Sebastian Berman; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his two brothers, Paul and William Schiebler.
Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
