Dorothy A. (Gibowicz) Morgan passed away July 21, 2026, after a long illness. She was born in Greenfield, MA on June 6, 1937, the daughter of the late Charles, J. and Blanche (Kacpura) Gibowicz. 
Dottie graduated from Greenfield High School in 1955 and joined the Navy Waves in October 1955, returning in 1977 after 22 years in the service. The highlight of her career was being stationed in Pearl Harbor when Hawaii became the 49th state. While in the service, she represented the Navy in various bowling tournaments and her name is recorded in the Hall of Champions in San Diego, CA. Dottie was a member of the Navy Memorial Fund, Disabled Veterans and Waves National and Fleet Reserve Association. 
Upon Returning to Greenfield, Dottie was employed at the Mental Health Center until retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church and former member of the Sacred Heart Church of Greenfield. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion and an associate member of the White Eagle Club. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. 
Dorothy is survived by her brother, Robert (Tessie) Gibowicz of East Longmeadow, MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. 
She is predeceased by her brother, Charles Gibowicz, Jr. and her sister Barbara Boron. 
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday 8/1 at 11am at Our Lady of Peace Church 90 Seventh St., Turners Falls, MA. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery on Wisdom Way in Greenfield. 
Calling hours will be held Saturday morning from 9-10:30AM at Kostanski Funeral Home 220 Federal St. Greenfield, MA.
