Dorothy V. (Jones) Giddings

Dorothy (Dot) V. (Jones) Giddings, 86, of Old Albany Road, died Thursday 4/14/22 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.  She was born in Lowell, MA on July 13, 1935, the daughter of Clyde and Jessie (Sanborn) Jones. Dorothy was a graduate of Arms Academy.
Dorothy was employed at the Greenfield Tap & Die for over twenty years and then for Distan before retiring. 
She loved going to the Greenfield Senior Center.  She was an animal lover. 
Among her survivors, Dorothy leaves her daughter, Diane Sanborn and her husband Jack of Shelburne; two granddaughters, Rachel Perez of Boston MA, and Meredyth Browning and her husband Eric of Maine; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, John, Amelia, and Charlotte; a special niece, Carol Jones of Greenfield and several other nieces and nephews. 
Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward Giddings in 2004; and her siblings, Thelma Finck, Gertrude Shields, and Chester Jones.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 4/23 at 11 am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield.  Burial will follow at Arms Cemetery in Shelburne. 
A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 10 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
