Donald Walter Storozuk, 75 of Sunderland, passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 1st, 2022.
He was born on May 20th 1946 in Greenfield Massachusetts, the son of Edward and Stasia Storozuk of Sunderland.
In his early years Donald served as a Specialist in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was a Volunteer Firefighter for the Town of Sunderland. He then moved on to further support his community by joining the Sunderland Highway Department where he worked until his retirement in 2006 after 30years of service. His favourite past times were grabbing a daily cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and shooting the breeze with those he met, eating out at local spots like the Doves Nest, socializing with friends and visiting with Family in the area.
Donald and his beloved wife Joan were married for 44 years. Travelling and exploring the Amish towns of Pennsylvania was a favourite annual event for them both, much like the 4th of July Fireworks show and BBQ’s they hosted for many years at their home.
Donald was pre-deceased by his wife Joan Storozuk, sister-in-law Dorothy Molgelinski and his great-niece Lindsey Wade.
He is survived by his only son Jon and his wife Kim Dacey-Storozuk and Grandson Lincoln of Washington State; his brother Edward and Penny Storozuk of Virgina; sister-in-law Nancy Poulin of Greenfield; nieces and nephews Lori and Kenny Wade of Greenfield, Karen Poulin and Stephen Greaney of Washington State; his great-niece and great-nephew, Kelly and Jay Sadler and their children Caleb, Kailyn, Hayden and Hailey of Greenfield, along with numerous cousins from both sides of the family.
The Storozuk Family would like to thank Kostanski Funeral Home and staff for their support during this time.
