Donald L. Drowski, 80 of Wendell died Saturday 1/8/22 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. He was born in Montague on February 7, 1941, to the late Louis and Mary (Juda) Drowski. Don attended local schools and was a graduate of Mahar Regional High School Class of 1959. After high school, he attended the Porter School of Design and then served two years in the United States Army.
Don worked as a draftsman for the former Millers Falls Tool Company and the Greenfield Tap & Die. Don was then manager of receiving for the Rich’s Department Store. After Rich’s closing, Don worked for BJ Wholesale in Greenfield, retiring just shy of twenty years of service.
Don enjoyed woodworking, canning and refinishing old furniture. He loved travelling, especially on Caribbean cruises and visiting family in Poland. He cherished time with his grandchildren.
Among his survivors, Don leaves his beloved wife, Helena, after forty seven happy years; a son, Chad Drowski; a daughter, Stacey Tidlund and her husband Aaron; and four grandchildren, Norah, Austin, and Bryce Drowski and Ella Tidlund.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday 1/14 at 10am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 84 K Street, Turners Falls. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
