Deanna J. Lovett Obituary

Deanna Jean (Wright) Lovett, 63, of Northfield, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 21, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Montague, MA, on February 16, 1962. Deanna attended local schools and was a graduate of Greenfield High School, Class of 1980.

Deanna spent her professional career at Greenfield Community College serving in the Information Technology (IT) Department as a Data Processing Systems Analyst, among other roles. She had a natural gift for fostering meaningful friendships at work, turning colleagues into lifelong friends. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine interest in others made the workplace feel like a second home.

She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially through her love of movies, music, and painting. Whether she was getting lost in a classic film or filling the house with her favorite disco songs, she created moments that brought her family together. Movie nights were a cherished tradition, full of laughter, conversation, and connection. Her love of music and film brought warmth and joy into the home and left lasting memories for those she loved most.

Deanna had a true love for bowling, and the lanes were one of her happiest places. It wasn’t just about the game, it was about the laughter, the friendships, and the joy of being part of a team. Bowling gave her countless memories and moments she truly cherished.

She married Terry Gene Lovett on July 9, 1983. They recently celebrated 42 years of loving marriage. She was most proud of her boys, Andrew and Michael, and adored her grandchildren, Emma (Swan) and Jacob (Marley).

She was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Newman and Arlene Wright, whose memory she held close to her heart throughout her life. She was also preceded in death by her dear uncle, Daryl Wright, and her mother, Donna Wright.

Besides her devoted husband Terry, Deanna leaves behind her two sons, Andrew Lovett and his family Heather, Reed, and Nolan of Greenfield; and Michael Lovett and his wife Randi, also of Greenfield. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Emma and Jacob; her Aunt Kay Wright of Greenfield; Uncle David and Auntie Bonnie Wright of Guilford, VT; her cousins, David Wright of Guilford, VT, and Eric Wright and his partner Kelli of Shelburne, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews who lovingly called her Auntie D.

Calling hours will be held at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield, on Monday July 28th from 4 to 6 PM.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday July 29th at 10 AM at Kostanski’s followed by a burial service at Calvary Cemetery, 175 Wisdom Way, Greenfield, MA.
