David A. Denison, 76, of Munson Street died at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Greenfield on August 25, 1946, the son of Francis E. and Beulah (Brown) Denison. David attended local schools and was a graduate of Pioneer Regional Valley High School.
David served in the United States Air Force, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant from 1966 to 1970. Upon his return, he married Susan Hale. They spent many years together until her untimely death.
David began a career with the United States Postal Service as a Letter Carrier which lasted for twenty three years. Following his retirement in 2003, he enjoyed working for Kuzmeskus Bus and Five Star Bus for the next ten years.
David was an avid reader. When he met Deb thirty three years ago, they discovered their love for camping at the ocean. To this day, their sons carry on the tradition.
Besides his beloved wife for thirty years, Deb (Hartshorn) Denison, David leaves two sons, Derek Denison and Jason (Shawna) Denison, all of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Kenzie, C.J., Jackson and Cole- David cherished his family. He also leaves his sister, Kathy Montiglio (Bill) of Bernardston; his brother, Michael Denison (Susan) of PA; and his brother in law, Rick Hartshorn (Brenda) and their families. He also leaves Barb Hartshorn of Yarmouth and her family; his uncle, Paul Nelson and Ann Cook; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hopsice of the Fisher Home for their wonderful at home hospice care.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
